PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIESMichael Mulroy is an associate in the Employment & Labour Law Group at Lang Michener. He practises exclusively in the area of employment, including wrongful dismissal, workers' compensation, human rights, and occupational health and safety. REPRESENTATIVE WORKMr. Mulroy represents individuals and corporations regarding proceedings under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Employment Standards Act, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and the Human Rights Code. He regularly advises employers and employees with respect to their rights and obligations, and has acted as Counsel at all levels of courts, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. SEMINARSOver the years Mr. Mulroy has participated in seminars on employment matters for Insight, Institute of Professional Management, Infonex, the Sleep-Wake Disorder Institute, Lorman, and Lang Michener on topics such as termination, curbing the costs of dismissal, employment standards, workplace safety, privacy, accommodating health issues, issue estoppel and workers' compensation and Criminal Code amendments for Occupational Health and Safety.
